Embassy of the State of Qatar in Manila celebrates Qatar Sports Day 2023

The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Manila held a celebration, on 13 February, on Qatar Sports Day 2023, under the patronage of Mr. Mohamed Bin Yousef Al-Malki, Chargé d'affaires ai, and Mr. Hasan Mehanna Alajmi – Second Secretary of the Embassy, as well as the local staff of the Embassy.


Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Manila meets Vice-President of the Republic of the Philippines

His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Malki, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines, met the Vice President and Secretary of Education of the Republic of the Philippines Sara Duterte. During the meeting, both discussed the bilateral relations reached between the State of Qatar and the Republic of the Philippines, as well as the ways to develop and expand cooperation in the future, and a number of regional and international issues and issues of mutual interest.


Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Manila meets Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines

His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Malki, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines, met His Excellency Mr. Enrique Manalo, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines. ​ During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of the Philippines, and the level that the relations have reached during the past years, in addition to future ways to develop and expand cooperation, and a number of regional and international topics and issues of common interest.


Launching of Qatar Media Portal

As part of the preparations to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Qatar Media Portal was launched, a new digital platform that will give media representatives and broadcasters attending the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 access to a wide range of resources compiled by the host country to help them operate at this year’s tournament.



Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Manila hands over to the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, 50,000 doses of the Sinovac-Corona vaccine

His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Malki, Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Manila, handed over to the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, 50,000 doses of Sinovac-Corona vaccine, in the context of financial support provided by the State of Qatar through Qatar Fund for Development, to the Government of the Philippines, amounted to $450,000.00 USD, last November 2021. ​ The vaccines, which arrived in Manila on Wednesday morning, come as part of Qatar's response to limit the spread of the Corona virus, based on the common global responsibility and an extension of the Qatar's commitment to stand with friendly and brotherly nations, affected by this pandemic.

His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Malki, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines, extended his warmest congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar - "May Allah bless him"-, the Father Amir, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani - "May Allah bless him"- to His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Amir of the State of Qatar, and to His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the State of Qatar, on the anniversary of the founding of the first modern sovereign state, by Sheikh Jassem bin Mohammed Al Thani, on December 18, 1878.



Philippines President receives Ambassador of the State of Qatar in Manila

His Excellency Rodrigo Roa Duterte, President of the Republic of the Philippines, receives H.E. Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Malki, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines, as they discussed, several issues of mutual concern, and future ways of enhancing, developing and expanding cooperation relations between Qatar and Philippines, among other political issues.
