The International Bazaar Foundation grants the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Manila an award for its ongoing and permanent contributions to the efforts of the International Bazaar of the Republic of the Philippines

The International Bazaar Foundation, Inc, in the Philippines, held a ceremony in which the State of Qatar represented by the Embassy was honored and awarded for its permanent and ongoing contributions over the past three years in the efforts of the Foundation for women, youth and persons with physical disability in the Philippines.

The award was received by H.E. Ali Ibrahim Al-Malki, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines, from Madame Maria Lourdes B. Locsin, Chairperson of International Bazaar Foundation Inc. and Spouse of the Foreign Affairs Secretary of the Philippines.

The ceremony was attended by Philippine Foreign Secretary Teodoro L. Locsin Jr., as guest of honor and keynote speaker, and a number of other political and social figures in Manila. The Foreign Affairs Secreatry delivered a speech in which he expressed the gratitude and appreciation of the Department and the Foundation to the State of Qatar represented by the Embassy for its efforts, and said they appreciate Qatar's continuous and ongoing contributions in supporting the Foundation's humanitarian efforts in the Philippine through the Foundation.

During the ceremony, a video was viewed showing the activities of the Foundation for students, women and persons with disabilities, such as building schools, hospitals and medical treatment centers, among others.
