His Excellency Ahmed Saad Al-Humaidi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines, on Thursday, June 7, 2024, attended the opening ceremony of the handicrafts exhibition, which was held in the exhibition hall of the Philippine International Convention Center, as part of the country’s celebrations of the 126th Independence Day.

The guest of honor was the First Lady Lisa Marcos. In her speech, she welcomed the guests, thanked the supporters, and praised the creative effort of Filipino handicrafts, which represented a model of cultural diversity and peaceful coexistence for all segments of Filipino society.
