The Government of the city of Makati in Metro Manila, held a reception on December 14, 2023, for the National Day of the State of Qatar 2023, along with five other countries, namely Romania, Thailand, Laos, Finland and United Arab Emirates under the auspices of Honorable Mar-Lyn Abigail S. Binay, Mayor of Makati City, Hon. Monique Yazmin Lagdameo, City Vice- Mayor, and Hon. Anna Elcina Yabut, City Councilor and Chairperson of the Committee on Tourism, Culture and International Affairs.

 

The reception was attended by Hon. Abdulla Salem Khowar, Chargé d'Affairs, in addition to the Heads and representatives of Missions of the five countries, members of the diplomatic corps in the Philippines, and officials from the Makati city government.

 

The reception included brief remarks by Mr. Khowar, as well as the Ambassadors and representatives of the other Missions, in addition to a final remark by Hon. Mar-Lyn Abigail S. Binay, Mayor of Makati City.
