His Excellency Ahmed Saad Al-Homidi, Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines, met on Tuesday, November 08, 2023, with Honorable Enrique Manalo, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Philippines , at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), in the presence of other DFA officials.

 

During the meeting, both Sides discussed ways to strength cooperation between Qatar and the Philippine, where Honorable Manalo, expressed his thanks to the government of the State of Qatar for its efforts in mediating to open the Rafah Border in Gaza to foreigners, including Filipinos. He also expressed appreciation for Qatar's role in releasing prisoners and civilians.

From his side, His Excellency Ambassador Al-Homidi, stated that these efforts come within the Qatar’s policy and its humanitarian values, and will always continue to establish peace and security. Ambassador Al-Homidi also said that Qatar will continue its mission to protect civilians.
